After a rainy start on Friday, this weekend turned into a beautiful autumn weekend. We spent Saturday decorating for Halloween and yard clean up. Today, Brett had to go to his parents for their final pony show tomorrow. I called my friend Susan and asked her if she wanted to take a bike ride on Sunday. She was up for it. We chose the Portage-Summit…
adoption of the report and recommendation on ministry policies
As I stated in my post earlier in the week, I am sharing my personal thoughts on the actions of the 2009 ELCA Churchwide Assembly related to sexuality. I was a voting member at the 2007 assembly where the resolution was passed calling for a review of the ELCA ministry policies and a recommendation to be presented at this summer’s assembly. This resolution was targetting…
publicly accountable lifelong, monogamous, same-gender relationships
This week I thought I would give my take on some of the actions of the 2009 ELCA Churchwide Assembly related to sexuality. Thursday…

Wow! What a wonderful summer we have had. The weather this weekend did not disappoint us. We spent Saturday morning and afternoon running errands and doing some last minute shopping for our wedding trip this week. On Saturday night we went to Northfield Park with 9 of our friends for our bachelor party. It was an enjoyable night. None of us were big winners. This…
2 weeks and counting
Wow! It’s hard to believe that our wedding will take place in two weeks. Things have come together nicely after months of planning. Last night we finalized the catering of our wedding dinner in Provincetown. We are fortunate that Tom and Abe, our inn keepers at the Secret Garden Inn, happen to also be NYC caterers. Today, I am ordering the boutonnières from the florist….
