Pirates, Vegas style at Sirens of Treasure Island
Battista’s Hole in the Wall
I don’t often write a restaurant review. However, tonight Brett and I ventured to Battista’s Hole in the Wall for dinner. It’s an off-strip Italian restaurant behind the Flamingo Hilton. We had heard that it is a fantastic place. We put it on our list every trip, but it just never got visited. After tonight, I must say that it lives up to the hype….
A Great Speaker
I attended a great keynote address yesterday at CA World. Guy Kawasaki is a venture capitalist who was an Apple fellow in their early years. He was the evangelist for the Macintosh, selling software companies on developing software for the Macintosh. He spoke on innovation. I would definitely recommend seeing him speak if you have the chance. He was entertaining and motivating; something most conference…
NY NY Sign
I love this billboard promoting Zumanity at NY NY.
Sunday in Vegas
Brett and I are in Vegas for the week. Yesterday we had a good time. We bought tickets for The Phantom at the ½ price ticket place and saw it last night. It was very well done. Abby is away for her treatment
Today we took Abby to Brett’s parents in Utica. She begins here radiation on Tuesday in Worthington and will be spending the next 4 weeks with them. She will have 19 treatments before coming home for chemotherapy. It was hard to do but it seemed like the right thing to do. We’ll be praying for her health and healthy outcome.

Eleven years ago when we moved to the Akron area, we joined their church. Our friendship with Annette and Sally and Dallas and June only got stronger over the years. Today we attended Dallas’ funeral and…

It was 80 and sunny Monday and Tuesday. It snowed 4-5″ on Thursday and is going to be 35 today. It’s truly spring in Ohio. It looks like our daffodils have had it. I think our tulips may be OK. The cherry trees have just started to bloom and seem to be OK. It’s also a typical Easter weekend… cold and unpleasant. I can’t speak…
