I mentioned in an earlier post that Brett and I bought some hand blown ornaments at the Lock 3 Christkindlmart. I am not a person to decorate our Christmas tree to a designer theme. To me, the tree is a personal expression of our lives. Our trees (Yes, we have two Christmas trees at our house.) are mostly adorned with ornaments that Brett and I have collected over the years. We make an effort on every vacation, and sometimes on business trips or conferences, to pick-up an ornament representing the area or event. I pickup a lot of nostalgia Hallmark ornaments including their lunch box series and 60s cartoon characters.
Our trees are a reflection of our 17 years together and many from years before. Brett has 13 years of the Hallmark Star Trek series. Some of my favorites include: our cruise ship from Bar Harbor, Maine; the sand dollar from Hilton Head; the Papa Hemmingway Key West Santa; and the Hatteras lighthouse. Our Braveheart 911 glass heart and three years of HRC ornaments are very special Christopher Radko creations.
