Weekend in the Windy City

Brett and I visited our pals Keith and All this past weekend in Chicago. We thank them for a wonderful time and great company. We had such a good time. Al and Keith planned a whirlwind tour of the city for us. We starteed with deep dish pizza on Friday night at Lou Malnati’s.

On Saturday we took the trains downtown to the Sear’s Tower and the Sky Deck. It had 15-30 mile visibility and was a perfect day for the tower. We visited Millennium Park and took the photos on this post at the Chicago “Bean”, a stainless sculpture in the shape of a bean that reflected the downtown skyline. We finished downtown at Marshall Fields and the Magnificent Mile.

Saturday afternoon was spent in Boystown and Wrigleyville. The stores we pretty cool. Bears Like Us was a newer store that had interesting merchandise.

We finished the weekend at the Chicago Flower and Garden Show in Rosemont. Dinner was at The Pita Inn, a Mideastern restaurant that was so good and so busy. It was voted #1 Mideastern restaurant in the city. It was fitting to start the weekend at the #1 deep dish pizza restaurant and finish the weekend with another #1 restaurant on Sunday.
