Many of our friends know that Abby, our 11 year old dachshund has been undergoing cancer treatment over the past 4 months. She’s had 4 weeks of radiation and 16 weeks of chemotherapy. A few weeks back I was going to post on how well she came out of it all. That night I had to rush her to the animal clinic. Her leg had swollen to 3 times its size after her last chemo. It turns out that her lymph node in the leg where the mass cell tumor was located had reacted. Today, she had the lymph node removed and is doing quite well. We’ll know in a couple of weeks if the cancer is gone. She has been such a trooper through this all.
