Well, today’s trip was not quite as planned. It went smooth until we got to Ft. Lauderdale. After landing, we saw that our flight to Key West was delayed. After inquiring, we were told that it would be 4 hours late due to repairs. 4 1/2 hours later we boarded the plane, only to return to the terminal from the runway when it was determined that we did not have enough gas! 45 minutes later we took off. We arrived in Key West at 7:30… 5 1/2 hours later than scheduled

Tonight was pleasant. We ate at at El Meson de Pepe, a Cuban restaurant at Mallory Square. Brett wanted to go to Blondie Giraffe for key lime pie. I did not resist. It is the best. They have been featured on the Food Network and Travel Channel. It was not a Weight Watcher’s night for sure. We came back and relaxed in the hot tub. We are ready for a good night’s sleep. It’s a pretty warm yet, around 80.
