It was an early morning for us at our first port of call, St. Thomas in the U.S. Virgin Islands. After enjoying breakfast outdoors on the Windjammer Café deck, we were off to our first shore excursion. We joined a group of about 60 other Pied Piper cruisers sailing on a catamaran to Great St. Georges where Brett snorkeled and I enjoyed sunning myself on the sailboat. The weather was perfect, high 80s and pure sun. Brett said the tropical fish were amazing. We retuned to the ship for a late lunch. We met up with Fidel, who were spent time with on the sailboat, and did a little shopping in the plazas adjoining the dock. Jewelry and liquor are plentiful and discounted heavily in St. Thomas. We only bought a few normal souvenir type items.
