A week ago Brett and I got a Wii and Wii Fit. As I mentioned in my last post, I had read a lot of posts on my weight loss discussion boards about how beneficial a Wii Fit is in an exercise program. I was skeptical, but we had wanted a Wii for some time. I figured what the hell and am giving it a try.
I did 3 exercise sessions this week, mostly aerobics. I bought a better fitness program called My Fitness Coach. It is dramatically better than the standard program that comes with the Wii Fit. I can tell you that this program works your butt off. I have become a believer in using the Wii Fit as part of my exercise program. It leaves me really sweating after 30 minutes.
I still think a fitness routine needs to be more than a video game. I am still sticking with my daily morning treadmill routine. I am looking forward to the warmer weather this week. I think I am going to add in 3 2 mile walks during the work week. It is easy exercise and has great benefits with so little effort.
