I have been in Las Vegas for two CA software conferences since last Friday. I am pretty tired at this point. It has been a long week with long days. I hardly got to enjoy the 90 degree sunny weather that Vegas offers. Yesterday at lunch I ventured out of Mandalay Bay and had lunch at Chin Chin in NY NY, one of my favorite Chinese restaurants on the Strip.
Last night my friend and former coworker Deb and Dan, another fellow software user, explored the Strip for the evening. It was a fun time. We had a fantastic dinner at Wolfgang Puck’s Spago in Caeser’s Palace. It was exceptional. It was a pleasant walk back to Mandalay stopping to watch the Bellagio fountains and the “interesting” people on the Strip.
I fell into a normal routine here. The photo is of my “office” at the Starbucks at the convention center entrance. Even in Vegas, I was up at 5:30 a.m. and off to work by 6:30 a.m. This table became my work home away from home for a few hours each morning.
After another morning of conference sessions, Julie (another coworker) and I are off for an afternoon on the Strip. We both have red eye flights home and plan on a restful afternoon in Las Vegas after this busy week. I had planned on cycling but my ride was cancelled. Bummer 🙁
