LA in a Day

We did a whirlwind tour of LA today. First, Hollywood Boulevard and the Chinese Theater. It’s a lot smaller than I imagined. The new Kodak Theater, home of the Academy Awards, and the Holly wood and Highland Center were a real treat to see. Check out my photo at the upper level overlook to the Hollywood Hills.

Next, we were of to West Hollywood. It was not what we expected, and we drove right through it. Beverly Hills and Rodeo Drive was next. Wow! Almost every car was a Mercedes, Volvo or Lexus. A quick drive through Westwood and we were on to our final destination.

The Getty is magnificent. You can’t miss it on a trip to LA. The John Paul Getty Museum sits high on a hill overlooking the valley. Spectacular views, unbelievable architecture, great art, and lavish gardens make it a perfect destination. I highly recommend this museum. We spent most of the afternoon there.
