It’s been a busy volunteer week for the Thrivent board for me. I’ve written two grants for fundraisers and met tonight to plan our September meeting at the Akron Library. A lot of time is going into the finishing touches for our mid July member appreciation day at the Akron Zoo. As much as I complain, I love event planning. Plus, we met tonight at Arabica in Stow and I ate at the Thai restaurant across the street. I love their Pad Thai. It’s owned by the Pad Thai folks and has the same quality menu. Their Pad Thai really rocks.

I must be desperate. I am watching America’s Got Talent on TV. It is so terribly wrong. Who determined that David Hasselhoff and Brandy are worthy of telling anyone if they have talent? Of course, they put in a whiney British guy who pans everything. Brandy loves them all. Does this format sound familiar?
