Saturday at the Marketplace

It was a perfect autumn weekend, cool and crisp. I spent Saturday morning at the Hartville Marketplace. He farmer’s market was at its peak this week. Fruit and vegetables were at their cheapest. The quality was so high with so many local folks selling. I always let the specials dictate what I will be buying. I bought some beautiful ripe Roma tomatoes and several different varieties of peppers. Apples are in season with local orchards having stands. I bought a half peck of empire apples. I cooked several recipes today and plan on making some pasta sauce tomorrow night. Look for some recipes to get posted on Bearly Edible this week. Since I don’t have a garden, I love these farmer’s markets.
