Last night was the Akron Pride Center’s Annual Dinner. I was the chair of the dinner committee this year. I had a terrific committee. The evening was a huge success. Everyone seemed to have a great time. It went so smoothly. Of course, we were at the banquet hall most of the day dealing with final setup and logistics.

The tables looked so elegant. Jim, a member of the committee, had a friend who was a florist. She gave us a great deal and coordinated the table decor. It was very classy. I won a table centerpiece. No it wasn’t fixed.

Brett and I won a few items in the silent auction. We won a gourmet Italian dinner for 8 prepared by our friend Tim. We are looking forward to it. I think it might be a nice thing to do for my birthday.

So, I took it easy today and did nothing. We were out late with our friends Mike and Michael after the dinner. I am too old to party unit 2:00 a.m. We’ve done that twice this year. It’s back to work tomorrow. I am sure the alarm will go off way to early!
