Today I got scheduled for my lapband surgery. It will be on July 16. It seems so far away. I am sure it will be here before I know it. I did have an unexpected thing. It turns out that the surgeon wants me to go on a 6 week Optifast liquid diet pre-surgery. That means that I start on it on June 3. June and July will be an interesting diet month for me. After the surgery, I will also be on a liquid diet for a few weeks. That makes 2 months of nothing but liquids. I suspect that this will make my transition to lighter eating easier.
