4 weeks down, 2 to go


I weighed in at 236 this morning. That’s a 2 pound weight loss for the week with a total weight loss of 22 pounds after four weeks of my Optifast diet.

I am continuing with my daily treadmill routine. I’ve increased the speed to 3.2 MPH and added some incline. This week I am increasing the time to 35 minutes. It’s hard to get much more time in without changing my morning schedule. Since I carpool, I am leaving it at 35 minutes. I like the morning exercise and it fits well into my schedule.

Dietwise… I strayed this past week. Brett and I ate out Saturday night at Ruby Tuesday. I had the grilled chicken breast, steamed broccoli, mashed potatoes and green salad with low cal dressing. On Sunday we went to our friends Penny and Phil’s open house. I ate typical picnic food. I could have done better, but I just needed a breather from the diet. I am sure that it is one of the reasons that the weight didn’t move much this week.

Sunday just reinforced why I want this surgery. I tend to eat if food is around. I have no resistance. My success during the week shows that I can follow a diet. The lapband will help control my appetite and keep me on track. Just two more weeks to go.

    hi this is the second time ive visited your site it is very good.my name is helen i live in australia was lapbanded 5 years ago, but my best weight loss is with optifast a protein shake or bar.
