hope wins over fear

NBC just declared Barrack Obama the winner! We are so excited in our house. It looks like it is going to be a landslide. His electoral votes are now over 300 on several news sites. The lesson to be learned from this election is that people look for hope of the future rather than fear of the future that McCain peddled for months.

I arrived to vote at 6:25 a.m. this morning. The line was outside the church and snaked through the parking lot by 30 feet. I am usually one of the first 10 voters in my precinct. Today I was voter 46. There was so much energy at the polls. It was democracy in action. No one was complaining about the one hour wait.

I pray that Obama can bring us together to reverse the downward spiral that country has been in for 8 years. It is up to all of us to help his vision become a reality. I am off to bed now. I look forward to seeing the final results in the morning. I could not go to sleep without seeing the good news being played out across the networks.
