Tonight a software vendor invited Brett and I to join a group of 20 clients for dinner at Emeril’s Delmonico Steakhouse at The Venetian. It was undoubtedly the best dinner Brett and I have ever experienced. The company was fun. It was quite an evening out.
With my latest band adjustment, I was only able to eat about 1/3 of my dinner. The vendor ordered an assortment of appetizers which I sampled a few. I had a wonderful iceberg wedge salad. (Well, 1/2 of the wedge.) My entree was a Hawaiian swordfish accompanied by lobster sauteed corn. I was so full that I did not do dessert. I had a decaf cappuccino. Emeril really lived up to his reputation. The food was perfect; the service impeccable.
We would never spend $100 each for a dinner given our current diets. Perhaps at home, where we could take home the leftovers. I felt so guilty leaving so much food. If you are in Vegas and have the money to go all out for a celebration, Delmonicos is definitely the place you need to go.
