A beautiful morning in Provincetown… As we get ready for the day, I thought I would write a quick post of the happenings of the past two days. Wednesday night our flight had several delays of about 2 hours due to storms in Atlanta. In the end, we got to Providence at 1:30 a.m. and drove into Massachusetts to New Bedford for the night. Thursday morning we were up and on the road by 7:30 a.m. to get our marriage license.
Our first stop was the Hyannis Town Hall where we got our intention for marriage document. We were then off to the Barnstable Courthouse to get a waiver of the 3 day waiting period. The judge signed the wavier quickly and we were back to Hyannis where we had our license issued. It took less than 2 hours and we were able to spend the rest of the day sightseeing on the Cape. It was an enjoyable day.
The Secret Garden Inn is a perfect bed and breakfast right in the middle of P’town off Commercial Street. It is a secret, hidden off a back alley and very peaceful and relaxing. Tom and Abe are the perfect hosts. We spent hours around the kitchen table last night chatting.
Today we are waiting for our family and friends to arrive in about 2- 4 hours. We have planned an afternoon of sightseeing with our friends Al, Keith, Aaron and Rich. This evening we are having a rehearsal in garden followed by dinner at Bayside Betsy’s. We are then off to a boys night out on the town.
Tom: I have been reading your blog for quite a while. Although I don't know you personally, I am sitting here almost giddy with excitement for you and Brett and smiling ear to ear. I am sure my excitement for you pales in comparison to your own. I wish you a wonderful weekend, an unforgettable marriage ceremony and a lifetime of happiness.
