Yesterday was a very relaxing day at sea. I was up early for spinning class and breakfast. Brett had too good a time the night before and was up at 1:30 p.m. to join me for lunch. I had a quiet morning writing our wedding thank you cards in the Starbuck’s-like coffee shop on the promenade. They are taking me longer than expected. I am only 1/2 way through them. It’s my task on the pool deck this afternoon.

Brett and I did little organized activity during the day; just lounged by the pool and sat at the pool bar. Brett and Randy the bartender are well acquainted. He is a good bartender and knows our drinks.

Last night was our 2nd formal evening and the captain’s dinner. I actually passed on the lobster tail and went for prime rib instead. Cruise ship lobster tail is generally not the best. Brett’s was actually perfectly done. After dinner we went to our special Pied Piper comedy show which was just so-so.

Late night we gambled a little and then headed to the spa pool deck for a disco under the stars. Man, it was a super fun dance. It was a mixed crowd but mostly our cruise group. We closed down the disco and were back in our room around 3:00 a.m.

This morning I slept past my spinning class and joined our friend Fidel for breakfast and some bargain shopping. If you have never been on a cruise, the ships put out odds and ends on the last day at sea at low prices. It’s their final attempt to get you to part with more money. I picked up a few to-shirts.It’s 11:00 a.m. and I am on the veranda. It sounds like Brett is almost ready to get up. 

Tonight, Brett and I are dining in Chops, the specialty steak house. We hear that it is quite nice. Late this afternoon  we will be packing to leave the luggage in the hall before we leave for dinner. I think we will most likely gamble a little, take in the final show and maybe have a few drinks with friends. It has to be a early night since debarkation is around 9:00 a.m.
